About Approud
We make small apps for the big, ordinary moments of the day.
Approud is an independent app studio focused on lifestyle. Our apps help with the things everyone does every day: getting into focus, learning something new, looking after yourself and getting little jobs done.
We’re a small team, so we choose carefully. Every app starts with a problem we have ourselves. We build the simplest thing that solves it well, then keep improving it, update after update.
How we make an app
Notice a small problem
A distraction we can’t shake, a fact we keep forgetting, a habit that won’t stick. If it bugs us, it probably bugs you too.
Build the simplest fix
One clear job, done properly. No feature soup, no dark patterns, no account unless it truly helps.
Keep making it better
Launch is the start. We listen to reviews and emails, and ship improvements for years.
What we care about.
Simple on purpose
If a feature makes the app harder to use, it doesn’t ship.
Private by default
We collect as little as we can and explain what we do collect.
Fair pricing
Free to start, with clear upgrades. No tricks to make you pay.
Here for the long run
Our apps get updated and supported long after launch.
Who’s behind it
Approud is a small team of people who like making useful things.
