Privacy Policy.
Last updated: November 3, 2026
Approud Co., Ltd. ("Approud", "we") is an independent studio that makes apps for everyday life. This policy covers the approud.com website: what it collects when you visit, write to us or sign up for news. Each of our apps has its own privacy policy, listed below, which says exactly what that app uses.
Our apps
Every app explains its data use in its own policy:
- Lockin privacy policy
- Map Guess privacy policy
- Porotimer and Zen Melodies: on their own websites, porotimer.com and zenmelodies.app
Across all our apps we follow the same rules: we collect as little as we can, we don't sell your data, and we say plainly what we do collect.
When you write to us
If you use the contact form or email us, we receive what you send: your email address, your name if you give it, which app it's about, and your message. We use it to answer you and to fix the problem you tell us about. Messages from the form are stored in our own form tool and we get a notification when a new one arrives. We keep messages for as long as we need them to help you, and delete them when you ask.
Email sign-ups
If you leave your email to hear about a new app or new posts, we use it only for that. Every email we send has a way to unsubscribe, or you can ask us to remove you at any time.
Analytics on the website
To see how the website is used and what to improve, approud.com uses:
- Google Analytics (Google), which counts visits and the pages viewed, and estimates your country from your IP address. See how Google uses this data.
- Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft) and Hotjar (Hotjar Ltd.), which record how pages are used (clicks, scrolling and mouse movement) so we can find confusing parts. Text you type into forms isn't recorded. See Microsoft's privacy statement and Hotjar's privacy policy.
These services set cookies or similar storage in your browser, so they only load if you agree in the cookie banner. Accept turns them all on, Decline keeps them all off, and Customize lets you allow usage stats (Google Analytics) and session recordings (Clarity and Hotjar) separately. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page, and the website works the same either way.
Comments
Comments on our productivity method pages are provided by Disqus. If you comment or load the comments, Disqus handles that data under its own privacy policy.
Fonts and hosting
Some fonts on the website load from Google Fonts, so Google sees your IP address when the page loads. Like every website, our hosting provider keeps short-lived server logs (such as IP address and the page requested) to keep the site running and secure.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data, we don't build advertising profiles about you, and we don't ask you to create an account to use the website.
Children
The website is for a general audience and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal data from children.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us at the address below and we'll reply within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above.
