Lockin Privacy Policy.
Last updated: October 29, 2026
Lockin: App & Website Blocker ("Lockin", "the app") is made by Approud Co., Ltd. ("Approud", "we"). This policy explains what data the app uses and why. Lockin has no account, and we don't run servers that store your blocks, apps or websites.
What stays on your iPhone
Your blocks (their names, schedules, limits and difficulty), the websites and keywords you add, your stats and your settings are stored on your iPhone only, in Lockin's private storage. We can't see them.
Screen Time
Lockin uses Apple's Screen Time frameworks (Family Controls, Device Activity and Managed Settings) to block apps and websites. When you pick apps, iOS gives Lockin anonymous tokens, not the apps' names. Your app usage is measured and shown by iOS itself. None of this Screen Time data leaves your iPhone, and Lockin never sends it to us or to anyone else.
Website icons
To show an icon next to a website you add, Lockin asks that website for its icon directly (for example example.com/favicon.ico). Like any web request, that website sees your IP address. No other service sees your list of websites.
Safari extension
If you turn on the Lockin Safari extension, it checks the pages you open in Safari against the websites, paths and keywords in your active blocks, and shows Lockin's block page when one matches. This check happens on your iPhone. The extension doesn't record your browsing history or send it anywhere.
Purchases
Lockin Pro is sold through the App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never see your card details. The app checks with Apple whether you have Pro.
Our paywall uses Superwall (Superwall Inc.) to show the Pro offer. Superwall receives information about the device and how the paywall is used (for example, which paywall was shown and whether a purchase started) so we can see which offers work. See Superwall's privacy policy.
Analytics
To understand how Lockin is used and what to improve, the app sends anonymous usage events, for example when onboarding moves to the next step, when a block is saved, starts, ends or ends early (its kind, difficulty and length), and when the Pro offer is shown or closed. Events never include your block names, apps, websites or Screen Time data.
They go to two services:
- Google Analytics for Firebase (Google), with an app-instance identifier that is reset if you delete the app. Analytics' advertising features are turned off. See how Google uses this data.
- Mixpanel (Mixpanel, Inc.), with a random identifier created for this install (not your device's advertising or vendor identifier). Mixpanel estimates your city and country from your IP address. See Mixpanel's privacy policy.
Both also record basic device and app information, such as the app version, device model and iOS version. None of it is linked to your name, email or Apple Account, and none of it is used for advertising or to track you across other companies' apps.
Session recordings
Outside the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, Lockin may record how screens are used (the screens you visit and where you tap) with Mixpanel Session Replay, so we can find confusing screens and fix them. Your block names and app icons are blanked out of every recording, and the app picker, the Websites screen, Stats and Screen Time usage are never recorded. Recordings upload over Wi-Fi only.
Turning it off
Go to Settings › Share anonymous usage in the app to turn off analytics and session recordings at any time.
Notifications
Reminders about your blocks are scheduled on your iPhone. Nothing is sent to us.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data, we don't build advertising profiles about you, we don't show ads, and the app doesn't collect your name, email address, contacts, precise location or browsing history.
Children
Lockin is for a general audience and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal data from children.
Deleting your data
Deleting the app removes everything Lockin stored on your iPhone and resets its analytics identifiers. Because those identifiers aren't linked to you, we can't look up your data by name or email.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above.
